Chatteshwar Pujara became the batsman with most first-class double centuries in the 21st century.

 Only Don Bradman (37), Walter Hammond (36) and Ellis Hendrin (22) have scored more first-class double centuries than Pujara.

 Mumbai (Urdu Point Latest News. 22 October 2024) Before the Saurashtra vs Chhattisgarh match, Indian batsmen Chiteshwar Pujara had 17 first-class double centuries with Mark Ramprakash and Herbert Sutcliffe, but now Pujara has surpassed them.  And now he is fourth in the list with 18 double centuries.

 Chhattisgarh Pujara's side went into the field after Chhattisgarh's huge total of 578-7 d in the first innings.

 The former India No. 3 put on a 109-run partnership with Sheldon Jackson and 147 for the fourth wicket with Arpit Vasavada (73). 

 Chatteshwar Pujara completed his century in 197 balls and took another 151 balls to reach his second century, eventually being bowled out for 234 runs.

  

 Only Don Bradman (37), Walter Hammond (36) and Elise Hendren (22) have more first-class double centuries than Cheteshwar Pujara.

  

 Only Pujara, Ramprakash (17) and Graeme Hook (16) have more than 15 double centuries among first-class cricketers in the 21st century.
